1. Google Contribution
Not many of us are aware that by signing up to become a Local Guide on Google Maps, one can contribute and earn points by reviewing a place, rating a place, adding photos to a place, answering questions, adding a missing place etc. You can do this using your computer, Android or iPhone devices.
This is how you earn the points. After attaining a certain number of points decided by Google, you level up each time with Local Guide’s badges and perks.

2. “Your Timeline” on Google Maps-
Wondering what it is? Imagine you have a track of all the places you’ve been to. Be it from office to home or somewhere else in between. Google Maps Timeline assists you to find the places you’ve been and the routes you’ve traveled. Your timeline is private and therefore, only you can see it.
3. Share your real-time location using Google Maps
Yes, now you can share your real-time location using Google Maps for which you first need to add their Gmail address to your Google Contacts to be able to share your location with them. They can see where you are and for how long. You can share your real-time location for a maximum of 3 days. Also, you can choose to stop sharing your location at any point of time and if someone shares their location with you, then you can choose to stop seeing it as well.
This is indeed a really helpful feature, don’t you think?
4. YouTube trick- forward and backward shortcut
While watching the videos on YouTube on your phone, there must have been times when you wanted to skip a part or replay, there is a shortcut that you can use here. By tapping the finger on the left side of the video, you can take the video back in the multiples of 10, for example, if you tap twice it will move 10 seconds back, thrice then 20 seconds back, four times then 30 seconds back and so on. And to take it forward, do the same but on the right side.
5. YouTube contacts
YouTube recently added a feature of “Shared” in which a user can add his friends as contacts to be able to share videos and chat about it on YouTube itself without having to pause your video like in earlier cases.
6. Last Account Activity on Gmail
Do you know that you can see your last 10 sign-in histories of Gmail account, including the time, date and IP address of where it was used? For that, you need to go to your Gmail account from computer and go to the bottom right corner where you can find details, select it and the details of your last activity details will be mentioned to you. Isn’t that really helpful!
